Colocation

For most operators and companies in the telecommunications sector, physical plant construction and maintenance is often the first barrier to making their services available in other cities. Consequently, they look for new alternatives to overcome that barrier and to provide services in different countries or urban areas.

To meet those needs, Promigas Telecomunicaciones S.A. offers an equipment “Colocation Service” (placement) in spaces adapted for that purpose.

We have a total of 20 nodes in Barranquilla, Cartagena, Bucaramanga and Cali. Thirteen have room for positioning. All are subject to strict security requirements and are strategically located.

These nodes have the following features:

Sufficient space for a rack 210 cm high and 19 inches wide
An average temperature of 20 degrees centigrade
UPS with three hours minimum autonomy
48 volt DC power delivery with a bank of batteries for eight hours autonomy
Regulated 110 volts VAC
Equipment access 24x7
Back-up electrical generator
